This program will share best practices for 211's collaboration with local Continuums of Care in moving those experiencing homelessness to permanent housing. Our "no wrong door" approach guides individuals and families through the myriad of services available to them. 

After this webinar, attendees...

  • Will have an understanding of how 211 can work in tandem with Continuums of Care and Balance of State to assist moving those experiencing homelessness into permanent Housing
  • Will have a better understanding of the different definitions of homelessness and how that affects program eligibility
  • Will be familiar with how homeless service providers interact with each other through Homeless Management Information Systems

Candace Muncy is the 211 Coordinator for United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley in Columbus, Georgia. She has previously served on the National 211 Steering Committee, serves on the Taxonomy Steering Committee and is a Certified Resource Specialist-Database Curator. She attended Georgia College and State University where she obtained a degree in International Relations. After volunteering with a local Point In Time count, Candace found her passion in working with those experiencing homelessness. In her spare time, Candace is a published author and loves to bake; much to her coworkers' delight.
