Open to download resource. As people experience life, they initially draw heavily from their immediate family environment. As they continue to grow and learn, more experiences are gathered. Out of these experiences emerge individual guidelines for behavior. These guidelines tend to give direction to life and are called “values”. Values also condition our expectations regarding the behavior of others. Perception can be defined as how we see the world and how we see other people, and also how others see us and one another.
