Ashley Peltier graduated with a Master’s degree in sociology from the University of North Dakota in 2010. After graduating, she moved to Alaska, where she began her nonprofit career. She worked as a recruiter for the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, placing medical students on rotations in hospitals throughout Alaska. She then worked as a children’s advocate in a domestic violence shelter and as a case manager for clients with complex needs. After a short stint as a health educator and tobacco cessation counselor, Ashley began a career at the American Lung Association. She spent 7 years, the last 2 of which were spent as a Director of Programs. Ashley started with Mat-Su Health Foundation in March of 2020 as the Director of Connect Mat-Su. In her current position, she directs a staff of 4 and oversees operations for an information and referral hub that provides resource information specific to the Mat-Su Borough. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys planning parties and entertaining, cooking, fishing, golfing, and enjoying the beautiful scenery in Alaska.
