  • We Are Going To Be Okay: Reducing Stress Through Radical Acceptance in a Time of COVID

    Contains 1 Component(s)

I&R professionals assist people during some of the most difficult times in their lives. However, Covid 19 has brought uncertainty and fear to all of us. In this workshop, we focus on increasing our own calmness and clarity to help us better assist others. You will learn how radical acceptance can help you reduce your stress. We’ll help you recognize your own anxiety even when it disguises itself as “business as usual.” We’ll discuss the benefits of a mindful attitude and a calm body while facing challenges at work and home. Together we’ll practice ways to accept what is, rather than resisting what is not. Guiding participants through yoga, meditation, visualization, and other proven methods, we’ll practice tools to help us to practice radical acceptance during this pandemic.

  • Power Speaker Lisa Dion "Beyond the "Shoulds" - How False Beliefs Keep Us From Authenticity" and Keynote Speaker (Part 2) Sonya Ware - "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the Personal and Organizational Level"

Product not yet rated Contains 1 Component(s)

People are bombarded by millions of messages everyday about how to create the perfect life and what is normal , but unfortunately, much of what is taught in the mental health and self-development field is based on false beliefs about how people should work and what health should look like? The result is that people are often left feeling depressed, stuck, anxious and confused about who their authentic self actually is. With Lisa's in-depth understanding of neuro-psychology, how the mind is designed to work and the biology of symptoms, she teaches people why they create the life experiences that they do freeing them from many of the cultural myths and the limiting beliefs that keep them stuck, powerless, and dissatisfied.

Managing Stress With Lisa Dion

  • What You're Feeling is Normal - How to Minimize Stress By Connecting To Yourself Better
It's been part of human biology for thousands of years - our nervous systems are built to activate when we feel threatened, afraid or overwhelmed. It's meant to keep up safe. But being in that type of neuro-physical overdrive for extended periods of time can cause not only feelings of burnout and fatigue...they can negatively affect mental health, create physical issues and even promote increases in illness. Lisa will talk about how in the current situation, its not about finding ways to be calm, but ways to be present and aware. This 8 minute video will help you understand better what you're feeling...and how you can regulate it.
  • Just a Moment
Lisa demonstrates a technique you can do in between calls or at any time you feel your body telling you its overwhelmed. If all you have is a moment...this is all you need.
  • Letting Go of Stress and Tension - A 5 Minute Exercise in Regulation
Join Lisa as she talks you through an exercise that de-stresses , normalizes and regulates your nervous system in less than 7 minutes.
  • Borrowed Breath - Helping Others Find a Calm in the Storm
Are you feeling the strain of hearing the stress in callers voices and feeling the emotions of others all day? Are you, yourself, overwhelmed and anxious because of the current situation? You are not alone. And we have some ideas. Join Lisa and Chiara as they chat about the challenge of helping others calm down when it seems like everything around you is chaotic. The truth is our nervous systems "borrow" both activation (anxiety, concern, excitement) and regulation (calmness, peace, awareness) from one another. When we learn to regulate ourselves, we can help other find that same calm in the midst of the storm. Spend 15 minutes watching or listening to this video to change the way your day goes and find a wonderful way to truly help those you are helping in the moment.
