Important Things To Know...

About topics:

  • There is a list to the right of HOT TOPICS chosen by people in the network doing these jobs, but pretty much any topic related to I&R frontline work or management is welcome.
  • If there is something you find interesting or helpful, other people probably will too!
  • If you have ever been told that you are really good at something ...that something might be a great topic to propose as a session.
  • Topics need to be applicable across all sectors of I&R and whenever possible, applicable across national borders as well.

About session structure:

  • Anything built like a game or requiring attendee participation is always a hit.
  • Attendees typically do not like "show and tell" presentations where you demonstrate or explain a cool thing you do and then give no actual insight into how they can do it too!
  • Panels have had mixed success. You must have a really capable facilitator and practice beforehand to make it work. It is important for everyone to be disciplined with their own time allotment.
  • All proposals must be educational in nature. Sales-oriented proposals will not be accepted.
  • If you are an external consultant/vendor, consider bringing a client as a co-presenter who can address implementation/ROI issues.
