AIRS Webinar - Community Resource Specialists Forum
Recorded On: 06/04/2020
"We learn from each other. We learn from others' mistakes, from their experience, their wisdom. It makes it easier for us to come to better decisions in our own lives."
"Forum Style" AIRS Webinars are a place where people who fill like roles in I&R can come together to commiserate, support and share wisdom from those common experiences.
This forum is for those who are working one on one with callers and clients and will focus on the issues deemed most urgent and important by the participants via a pre-event survey.
Featuring panelists who work as Community Resource Specialists and include: Amanda Arrasmith from 211 at United Way of Central Iowa, Jessie Verville from 211 at Heart of Michigan United Way and Kenita Withers from 211 T United Way of Central Virginia.
2-1-1 Engagement Specialist with HWMUW
Jessie Verville is the 2-1-1 Engagement Specialist with HWMUW since 10/2007. She and her colleagues have experience with offering 2-1-1 support involving hurricane, wildfire, flood and pandemic response for 2-1-1 centers across the country. She is most passionate about finding ways to think outside of the box to meet the needs of the people in need (especially when resources are limited), and letting everyone know that 2-1-1 will be there for them every step of the way in times of distress/disaster. Jessie unwinds from this work by playing games/watching movies with her two amazing daughters, Jasmin and Angela.
