For the past 12 years, Erika Okonsky has worked closely with Virginia’s No Wrong Door (NWD) initiative expanding the reach of a technology system for streamlining access to long-term services and supports for older adults, individuals with disabilities, veterans, caregivers, and their families. In her current role as NWD Expansion Specialist, Erika works across the Commonwealth to help inform providers and communities about this statewide network of shared resources designed to support them and the individuals they support, as well as driving technology enhancements to serve better Virginians seeking services. No Wrong Door (NWD) in Virginia is a public-private partnership led and managed by the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services and supported by VirginiaNavigator and 2-1-1 Virginia. Before joining the DARS team, Erika worked at VirginiaNavigator as an IT professional, providing technical and program support for the information resource database and technology supporting No Wrong Door Virginia.   Erika serves on Virginia’s statewide Resource Advisory Council by providing leadership to the NWD Home and Community Based Services workgroup- dedicated to enhancing systems solutions among statewide agencies.
